We know there are times when you won't be using College Sidekick—like over the summer or during winter break—so Subscriptions bought through our website can be paused once per month.

• If you bought your subscription online through our website: To pause your subscription, go to your account settings and then click on the Pause Subscription button. You may pause your account in increments of 1, 2, or 3 months, and it is completely free to do so. You can wait to use your account until it automatically resumes from a pause, or you can opt to manually resume it at any time. Please note, once your subscription resumes from a pause (whether automatically or you choose to start it), the clock begins to run on your subscription again and you cannot pause again for another 30 days.

What does pausing my account do?

If you have a Subscription and aren't currently using College Sidekick, we allow you to pause your subscription and use your remaining time at a later date. This is especially helpful when you've already paid for an annual subscription but are out of school for vacation. This way, you can use your subscription when you actually need it.

To pause your subscription, go to your Account Settings and then click on the Pause Subscription button to place a hold on unused Subscription days. You can pause for 1, 2, or 3 months. Kindly note that you may only pause your account once every 30 days.

If I pause my subscription when will my subscription be renewed?

When your subscription is paused, it’s on hold, and you can use the remaining time of your Subscription at a later date. You may wait to use your subscription until it automatically resumes, or you can opt to manually resume at any time.

The day your subscription renews would depend on how much time is left on the Subscription.

For example, if your subscription were due to renew tomorrow, and today you paused your subscription for one month, then the subscription would be on pause for 1 month. Then, after the subscription was reactivated (either automatically at the end of 1 month, or if you were to manually resume your subscription), you would have 1 day left before the subscription would renew.
